W tym wykładzie przedstawione zostaną najnowsze osiągnięcia w zakresie wykorzystania ciekłokrystalicznych (LC) przestrzennych modulatorów światła (SLM) i innych urządzeń LC do generowania i kontrolowania polaryzacyjnego światła strukturalnego, w tym wiązek wektorowych i polaryzacyjnych elementów dyfrakcyjnych.

This talk will present recent advances in using liquid-crystal (LC) spatial light modulators (SLM) and other LC devices for generating and controlling polarising structured light, including vector beams and polarising diffractive elements.

Ignacio Moreno jest profesorem optyki na Uniwersytecie Miguel Hernández (UMH) w Elche (Hiszpania), gdzie kieruje laboratorium TecnOpto (https://tecnopto.umh.es). Wcześniej pracował na Uniwersytecie Autonomicznym w Barcelonie i na Uniwersytecie w Walencji. Jego badania koncentrują się na dziedzinie LC_SLMs i ich zastosowaniu w optyce dyfrakcyjnej i polaryzacyjnej, opublikował ponad 170 artykułów w recenzowanych czasopismach. Odbywał gościnne badania naukowe w międzynarodowych ośrodkach, takich jak San Diego State University (USA), Institut FEMTO (Besançon, Francja), Universidad de La Frontera (Temuco, Chile) czy ITO (Stuttgart, Niemcy). Otrzymał nagrodę EOS Prize (2012) i jest członkiem SPIE (2014) i OPTICA (2017). Był stypendystą Programu Fulbrighta (2015). Był zastępcą redaktora naczelnego czasopisma Optical Engineering (2013-22) oraz redaktorem gościnnym dwóch sekcji specjalnych zatytułowanych Liquid Crystals for Photonics (2011) oraz Spatial Light Modulators: Devices & Applications (2019). W latach 2017-2020 był prezesem Hiszpańskiego Towarzystwa Optycznego (SEDOPTICA), a obecnie pełni funkcję sekretarza Europejskiego Towarzystwa Optycznego (EOS).

Ignacio Moreno is a professor of optics at the University Miguel Hernández (UMH), Elche (Spain), where he leads the TecnOpto Lab (https://tecnopto.umh.es). Previously he worked at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and at the University of Valencia. His research is focused on the field of LC_SLMs, and their application in diffractive and polarization optics, having published more than 170 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has been a guest researcher at international centers like San Diego State University (US), Institut FEMTO, (Besançon, France), Universidad de La Frontera (Temuco, Chile) or ITO (Stuttgart, Germany). He received the EOS Prize (2012) and he is a Fellow Member of SPIE (2014) and OPTICA (2017). He was the recipient of the Fulbright Program Scholarship (2015). He has been Associate Editor of the journal Optical Engineering (2013-22), and Guest Editor of two special sections entitled Liquid Crystals for Photonics (2011), and Spatial Light Modulators: Devices & Applications (2019). He was President of the Spanish Optical Society (SEDOPTICA) (2017-2020) and he is currently the Secretary of the European Optical Society (EOS).
